Characteristics of Coats: May be a number of shades,
from ivory, light golden, medium golden, deep golden to almost completely red. The coat is smooth and wavy and
the undercoat is weather-resistant.
Personality: The Golden Retriever is self-cofident,
obedient, sensitive, intelligent, loyal and adaptable. Barking is rare.
Behavior: The Golden Retriever gets along well with
adults, children, other dogs and any household pets. It can be agressive and protective around unknown visitors.
Care: Regular grooming with a brush is recommended.
Goldens shed and brushing helps to keep their coats looking good. It is important to keep their ears clean.
Training: Obidenence training is recommended.
The earlier the training is started the more your Golden will learn. The Golden Retriever is sensitive to harsh treatment,
excessive strictness is highly discouraged. The Golden will remember what it has been taught for all of their life.
Exercise: Golden Retrievers have an above-average
need for exercise, although they will adapt themselves to your exercise habits. They love to play ball, go for
walks and are especially fond of water activities.
